My little man

Well,
I decided I don't really feel like writing everything about Patric and I's life from the past. I want to move on to today! Patric and I have been married for 3 years and 2 months. We have an 8 week old baby boy named Joshua Christoffer. He was born March 14 and weighed 8 lbs 14 oz. He was 21.5 inches long. He is such a great kid! Last night was a little rough, not quite sure why, but usually he sleeps well. Patric is working at ACC as their Marketing Manager, though we are looking into other avenues of work for him at this point. I was working at American Disposal as their Senior Accountant for a year, but after I had Josh and alot of thought on the beach last week, I decided to tell them I was not coming back. I knew I did not want to go back, but did not know if we could do it financially. I am still not sure whether we can or not, but I can't put him in the care of someone else everyday. I would miss too much in his life and I surely didn't have him to have someone else raise him. We just will have to make it work. So currently, I try to find something to do everyday...which is hard! I am trying to lose the pounds I gained with Josh. I gained 60 pounds!!!!!! I am down 30 pounds but have flatlined and haven't lost more. I am working out every other day...though I have decided to work out everyday. I will run 30 mins m-w-f and work on my abs and on T-Th I will bike and work out my arms. If that doesn't work, I do not know what to do. I am trying to eat better too. Patric lost 10 pounds so it truly isn't fair. I hate looking at myself in the mirror because it isn't the body I am used to.
We need to send money this month to the USCIS for Patric's greencard. He only has a 2 year greencard which expires in September...and due to the USCIS being so friggin slow...we want to get the money and application in earlier then 3 months. I will post some pictures of my big boy for all to see. He is soooo strong.
Type more later...

First Blog

Well,
Patric and I wanted to start a webpage so that friends and family all over the world will be able to keep in touch and keep them updated, so here we go! Just a little background about Patric and I first. We met on St. Patrick's Day in 2003. I gave Patric my phone number but he never called. I saw him at church alot and even institute but it wasn't until a pool party in June of 2003 that I totally pursued him, shamelessly I must add. I thought he was hot, what can I say. I went to the pool party with my friend Giselle, and we were going to go to some concert on the mall or something and I asked Patric to go with us. He said ok, but Giselle said she wasn't feeling well and we ended up going over to her house to hang out. I drove Patric home that night and I really hoped that he liked me! The next day at church Patric invited me to go to his house for a party that he and his roommates were having. I went but was basically ignored by him the entire time. Did this discourage me? Heck no! This means that I got a little challenge, which if you know me well, is what I love the most. When I was "leaving" I told him, he gave me a hug and then I asked him if he wanted to go on a walk in Old Town Alex. He said yes, and basically the rest is history.
I knew he was the one almost immediately, but he had to wait longer to know, which is fine. I asked him to go on vacation with my family (a true test!) and he came. Pictures on this page are from that year!
We had many other adventures while dating, which were fun but a little talk with my sister on Christmas made me think. I basically told Patric that either we should get married or break up on Christmas or close to it. I also told him I didn't want to see him until he figured it out. But, being the stubborn man that he is, he came down to my work, with gifts in hand, and I couldn't tell him to leave because he took the bus down. I had to get him back home, which would force us to talk! We went to Kohl's to check out rings, and they were having a 60% off sale, and we found the rings we wanted and bought them. We figured if it wasn't going to happen we could return them, but did not want to miss the sale.
On January 1, 2004 Patric and I went to The Chart House in Old Town Alexandria and he proposed to me on the deck in the FREEZING COLD!! He even asked me if I wanted him to propose closer to the restaurant or at the end of the dock. Obviously at the end of the dock near the water would be more romantic. He also asked me if I wanted him to get on his knee, which of couse I wanted. Talk about a man that wants to make sure his lady gets exactly the proposal she wants.
We got married March 6, 2004 in the Dale City Chapel. Yes it was a short engagement but it was for two reasons. One being that it was spring break the week after and we wanted to go on a honeymoon, but the other was that his work visa was expiring that month. Those are other blogs though! That is all for now.
