Kingsdominion

With Erik in town, we decided it would be fun to go to Kingsdominion. We made the trip down on July 5th...a little worried since the weather was REALLY bad, like pouring buckets! We got there a bit later then we wanted, but had some fun on the roller coasters and in the water park. Around 830pm is started pouring and lightning. It was SCARY and SUCKY! We didn't get to finish the rides we wanted to go on, and had to run to the car dodging lightning bolts.

All in all though, it was a good day, especially since we went with good friends of ours, Brad, Kami and their daughter Ella, Joe, Liese and then also my nephew John.

Here are some cute pictures of Josh--naturally--on some rides. I was pleasantly surprised that he was able to ride some of the fun things, and he was so proud of being such a big boy.

and a Video for good measure!

I have never posted a video before...so we shall see if this works.

4th of July Festivities

Patric's nephew Erik is in town for a couple of week, so we have had a lot more fun lately in our household. We had a very eventful 4th of July. It started out with a bike parade in our neighborhood. I got a few shots of Josh and Sage (my niece).

Then we went over to the pool to cool off and get some sun.

We had dinner with my family over at my sister's house. We were supposed to have dinner at our house, but our air conditioner broke on the 3rd of July...and it would not be fun trying to cram 20 people into a hot house...so we opted to change the location. After that, we headed over to the firework show. I was surprised...my fearless little boy was PETRIFIED of the fireworks. He took my hand to literally cover his eyes so he didn't see them. But that wasn't enough. Mommy wasn't doing a good job, so he wanted to go to his cousin Erik, who understood more that he wanted his ears covered too! Patric relieved Erik though and continued to cover his eyes and ears. He was asleep through the entire show last year...this year scared the heebie geebies outta him.

Pictures

My blogs have been void of updated pictures because of the move and not knowing where anything was. I thought I would fill up this blog with some updated pictures of Josh. He is getting so big now! He is 15 months now!

Still in the old house. He LOVES bananas now! He used to hate them when he was like 7 months old.

We had a picnic with our ward at Leesylvania State Park. Patric took Josh down to the water on our way home. He loved it, and I loved the perfect photo opportunity.

This is in Atlantic City, NJ. Patric had a business trip so Josh and I decided we should tag along. The trip could best be described as a disaster, but Josh LOVED the beach. In fact, he loved it so much he wanted to swim away in the waves, but the water was so cold I didn't want to get it, so he proceeded to scream like I was beating him. We didn't stay at the beach too long because he kept having break downs.

We are relaxing after the long trip to Atlantic City. Josh NEVER sleeps in bed with us, but he fell asleep, so we needed proof of this. It was nice to cuddle with him a little bit. I miss my little newborn sometimes.

This picture was taken last July in North Carolina. While I was in Atlantic City, NJ I took a shot of him in the same stroller.

Quite a difference!

Wegman's! and new home business

I went shopping today with my sister, my niece and mom (and Josh of course) to our new Wegman's that was built right around the corner from where we live.

It was AMAZING! Definitely Blog worthy! They have so much variety and so much organic foods (not that I even bought one organic item) but if I wanted to I could! Only downside was that it was like a circus in there...but that is to be expected seeing that it just opened yesterday. I thought that it would be REALLY expensive compared to Shopper's, but it was comparable. I even saved about $12.00 because I had coupons and my the cards they give you. They had 5 12 packs of soda for 10.00 !! That is truly an amazing thing! I only got on pack...but it will be the best cherry coke I have ever drank!

On other news--

We are finally all moved into our new house and the renters are into our townhouse. I truly believe that the renters will take care of our townhouse and it is nice to have peace with that. We planted some flowers on the outside of our house, put up a new light, raked the leaves...that probably had not been raked in over a year...and started to put stuff away inside. It has been a LONG 3 weeks, but I am finally starting to feel like home. We got the best carpet too! I recommend going with Shaw Couture Eleganza in Karma White...you will not be upset!

I will post pictures soon of the house...I want to get all of the boxes unpacked and the place cleaned up before I do.

Banks

I never ever ever want to buy a foreclosed home AGAIN! I am so sick of the games that the stupid banks play. It has been a rollercoaster and I have started to question whether it is all worth it. Let's hope so!

Here are some cute pictures of Josh for good measure.
